Support FileDitch - Questions and Issues

I tried again removing the dashes, and it worked! Your message about dashes not mattering is not entirely accurate it seems.

I had accounts since last night, what are you on about?
ah "i made a bunch of albums on the first of october"
Fileditchalbums.st and new.fileditch.com are 2 separate services with separate login tokens.

Correct, as always! I got understandably confused, but my sincerest apologies for wasting time and attention. Keep being a :GigaChad:

don´t know if it´s a me problem but i keep getting "server out of space", trying to refresh and hoping for another server but it alwasy come back to "alpha34"

let me know if i should do something on my end (uploading to other hosts working fine)

Hello Mr. Ditch, or Mr. File if you prefer. :MLADY:

I'm suggesting a button like this or similar, perhaps at the bottom of the homepage

that links from the fileditch page to the album page, like the album page already does.

Would also be lovely if at some point we could get a sorting feature for the albums; Oldest, Newest, A-Z, Z-A... That kind of thing.
Hope that's something you consider doing. Thanks.

*realizes that people wouldn't know about fileditchalbums existing since that announcement is gone in favour of the accounts feature and now the paid accounts feature*

Thanks for the details, deploying that now lol
And spending the night on making uploads not be down 10 hours a month cause servers ran out of storage.
and then your fancier version of albums requests.

Hi, so there was a spell where i can visit the site and freely click without ads or windows popping up. For the last month the site has been impossible to use because the popups. Is there a recommended blocker, or a ublock script??

Jdownloader is showing that my album is offline, but they are still active getting views. I'm assuming this is b/c jdownloader doesn't have permission to download from fileditchalbum. Can you allow jdownloader to detect content and download albums to ensure videos are getting the views the need to avoided deleted? It can be tedious manually downloading 100 plus videos and images, jdownloader will help save time.

is there any chance to add a feature to view the video file metadata on the video page?
like how mediainfo shows it? or even a shortened version so we can see codecs/bit-rate

can't really influence how third party software handles fileditch things.
Added a "copy all links" thing on albums, maybe that helps.

Is there any way we can see other people's album? Similar to bunkr ( https://balbums.st/ ) or similar to filester where you click on a video and if there is an album attached to it it will show?

Right now, even if i know a video is inside a folder i have no way to access the folder itself without explicitly having the link? Or am i missing something obvious?

Was working on a plugin to fix it didn't realize they had a built in one,

The issue with JDownloader is that when you copy links (using the copy all links button) it copies all the urls properly, but will show offline since the "video" it copies is just a webpage url, it fails the WASM check and doesn't actually get the direct mp4 file so it will always show offline due since it doesn't ever get the actual mp4, the only way around it would be turning off anti bot, but that well defeats the whole purpose

I have just reported it, cos I'm getting tired of wasting my time when;

This MP4 won't play in a browser.
Just watching? Tap anywhere here to try again, or use the Download button below and play it on your device.
If you're the uploader: follow the encoding guide, re-encode or remux it, upload it again, and it plays here for everyone.
Most likely it's the encoding, not the site being down. My competitors couldn't play it either.

90pc of fileditch videos have this, and clicking download just goes to the embedded porn ai spam

Also confused by that statement.
Anyway. It seems like a big change on monday/tuesday caused these issues for some people.
Mostly affected people using icloud private relay and some weird vpns.
Showing "This MP4 won't play in a browser." when people can't connect to my cdn was dumb.
Fixed all these issues now.
Started to log how often this appears 4 hours ago and it dropped by like 80% so.
I should have taken the "90pc of files" complaint serious. Likely an icloud private relay user.

I'll clarify
I came across links in the past that showed that message preventing streaming on my phone (android).
The exact same file on other hosts streamed fine, again on my phone.
The message was factually incorrect and counter productive.
