Since most people dont read: Please avoid posting about "server out of space", i will be well aware of that issue..

Keep it civil, no complaints about my ads, serving 150k simpcity cat video enjoyers a day isnt free, except if they break the site especially for adblock users. There should be 0 ads for proper adblock users.
If you can't download/watch on us, please be very specific about your issue.
"fileditchfiles.st blocked"
"fileditchfiles.st loads but it doesnt load or download the video which means the download domain is blocked for me"
"alpha.fileditchstuff5sept.com or whatever the download domain at that time sent an invalid response.ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR" your Antivirus/Router/whatever blocks it
helps a lot to know your isp/country too. Spectrum is booty cheeks.
I also accept dm's about such issues cause of the privacy issues involved.
Regarding the download domain issues that occasionally occur, we will be swapping them every friday from now on.
If your mp4 doesnt have working video but the audio works, in my player, thats not my problem, the mp4 is just broken. You could upload the same file to filester/pixeldrain/gofile/bunkr and the same issue would happen there.
Same goes for almost any other file.

Thanks for doing what you do. Site works well for what I need it for.

If folders/albums is coming much later, is it possible to at least get a "copy all links" button when uploading multiple files at once? would help immensely copy and pasting into this forum.

Also added notification sound when upload is completed.
 
Using Firefox and Vpns with several locations; i have trouble with file ditch. The videos don't play, if I press the download button it takes a while and then I get an error.

I see the thumbnail of the video, but it doesn't play and I can't download it.

Is there any way to avoid that?
 
I just keep getting this site can't be reached... i am so sick of getting this message....
 
sounds like you cant access the download domain.
The reason while you can see the thumbnail is because that's from a different domain :peepoD:
Probably some antivirus crap, which would explain why it persists even with vpn. Fileditch isn't just simpcity mp4's ;)
I've changed the domains, will start doing this weekly now :(
Would appreciate a reply if it's fixed for you now :)
 
The site is unreachable for me now unless i use the firefox VPN
seems the uploading is frozen at "starting"

Edit: i can still watch videos so the uploading is the only issue i am having
 
yeah saturday was bit troublesome, the new version(just backend changes) that i will be deploying next week will smooth things out massively.

Cannot stream any videos on fileditch - tried multiple browsers - Chrome, Firefox, Brave.

Have VPN on.

I cannot upload anything; at the very beginning of the upload I see an error: "error: mkdir failed".

UPDATED: seems fixed
 
yep hot storage for the upload servers filled up globally for a few hours while i was asleep, happens sometimes, we're popular :P
 
For the last 3 days when I click on a download link, I get the off site warning from here, when I click o.k. I get stuck on "verifying your browser" It just sits there forever. Older links work just fine. I'm using Firefox. Any insight?
 
Apparently something in NoScript is blocking it, I'll research further.

OK I found a setting in NoScript to enable wasm, turned it on, all working now.

If you hadn't put that warning up I never would have found it.

Here is the procedure to enable wasm in NoScript
I post this for other users experiencing problems and for fileditch's knowledge.
This is for Windows/Firefox other operating systems should be similar.
Also since I don't know most users computer IQ I wrote this to the lowest level I could.

Click tools
select "Extensions and Themes"
scroll down to NoScript
click the 3 dots on the right end of the noscript item
select "options"
at the bottom you will see "Preset customization (for all sites sharing a preset)
You should be in "Default"
Click the little box to the left of "wasm" so it has a check mark in it.
Select "Trusted"
Click the little box to the left of "wasm" so it has a check mark in it.
You don't need to do anything in "Untrusted"
(You might not need to do the "Default" tab, I didn't experiment that far.)
Close the tab.
It should work now.
 
Is there some kind of upload tool? I got a lot to upload and over the browser its a bit hard.
 
Thanks to your message (the first one) i started to realize the impact of forcing people to have webassembly enabled. didnt expect simpcity gooners to run noscript tbh ;)
shortly after it i started to show the warning, forgot to reply to you after.
also had some emails about "i get stuck on verifying your browsers" but they came from tutanota/atomicmail/riseup/protonmail so i knew enough. Atleast now it never gets stuck on that and shows the warning.
wasm is a controversial topic but hey half of the sites on FMHY do not work without it

Does bunkr/filester/gofile/pixeldrain have one? ;) maybe gofile has an official one idk. We have an api make your own :P

Just writing to confirm I cannot access files on FileDitch at the moment either. Tried a few different VPN locations. No dice :SadgeCry:
