for some of us, like in this case, it's just amusing and funny because of the whole temu andrew tate thing.
but, in general, you're right. they are absolutely faking their interests. they call the anime by the wrong name or dont know any of the characters, stuff like that, could be video games or sports too. they are selling a fantasy.
to the dating point, chad or not, they are gonna be with who they want or fancy at the time. they very likely wont end up with some regular guy just due to proximity. if they are making a living online, off their body, they will probably end up with someone similar. and the mentality that they can have it all, why wouldn't they pick what they deem as better? whatever it might be...a car, house, outfit, man, woman, etc. they dont exactly have the most developed personalities and principles...it's the same stuff we see with streamers.
it's definitely become parasocial and predatory like you've said. they take pics of their outfits, what they're watching, what they're gonna eat and so on...it can be faked...it's an agency posting it on their behalf...and the worst part is that some guys believe it and reply with some type of hope of...dating them? they all pretend to be single because if they show they aren't, they lose followers...cmon guys.
for me, im not coping here, but i know i wouldnt like being around some of these women and their whole dynamic. i dont even like the random dating app match that is a wannabe influencer, much less someone who is really living that life. and how many have we seen that go through horrible relationships or end up single mothers or whatever? it's not all what it seems.
