Well yeah the ppl with >10k dust them. I'd argue 4k limit is somewhat reasonable. Or at least put it into consideration for a simp ranking perk? If you're standing firm on this then it is what it is and we'll just have to cope. Thanks for the clarification.

Would it be possible to obtain information regarding the viewed threads (specifically titles and links) prior to the cleanup for backup purposes?

Welp, I'm glad you guys told us about the watched threads, I thought I was going crazy about pages that I swore that I previously watched.

Sorry, I was definitely one of the high contributors with over 380 pages of watched threads.. Wish I had have known before hand though as I would've killed to have been able to export a list of all of those previously watched.

unfortunately, no.

registrations will prob be open permanently within a few weeks with no plans of closing them again. we're waiting for a few features to be developed for goonbox and the forum.

some lil sneakpeaks

And what are those of us who lost our threads in the “watched” section supposed to do? Do they expect us to remember them and manually search for each one as if none of this had happened?

May be a dumb question bc I assume bookmarks are unrelated to serving alerts, but should we expect anything like this data cull to happen to account bookmarks?

I've got several hundred pages of bookmarks, and like others who've lost 50+ pages of threads, it seems like existing boomarks are the only direct way back to a lot of those threads that are now unwatched. In any case thanks for the explanations at least..

I wanted to make sure this was known. I am not sure if anyone else is seeing this, but it is super frequent now.

I also watched more the 100 threads, 127 to be exact but now it just shows 100 threads, can I find out what were those threads that were automatically deleted or just 27 of my watched threads are gone forever now without knowing who they were.

I also have one more question, so are watched threads now limited to 100 threads only, if I follow more than does the new threads automatically deleted old ones, keeping the threads to 100 only?

it was a manual delete, so you can build a list past 100 pages but when the admins runs the process again, your list will be culled to 100 pages.

no, bookmarks are fine.

i already said that the next purge wont have the ceiling as 2000 threads (100 pages), it will be a lot higher. it's also unlikely that we'll do a second purge, because we removed the auto-watch on reply...

502 errors happen only when the forums are under maintenance, if you're seeing this error constantly throughout the day, you may have to use a vpn (or if you already do, change locations).

How can I delete a thread I created? I created the same thread twice by mistake, so i want to get rid of one.

I would like to propose a solution that helps users with massive subscription lists (exceeding 2,000, 5,000, or even 10,000 items) keep track of updates in their followed threads. The forum administration would simply need to upload a daily .txt file listing the names of all models whose threads received new posts over the past 24 hours. Users with more than 2,000 subscriptions could then download this file and locally cross-reference it with their own Favorites list to check for matches.

For example, I have a collection of 5,000 links saved locally on my computer in an Excel file. I download this .txt file. Then, I run a short script on my computer that compares the names from the .txt file with the names in Excel. If the names match, the script generates a link to the model.

Is this option possible with a .txt file?

if something like this is ever done again, you'll have an option to export your list, yes.

as i've said before, no such thing is planned in the near future.
