It's sad it's all Gacha now. Every cosplayer doing the same whatever Gacha character of the month is trending. I miss the days when anime cosplayers and anime conventions were about ANIME, not Chinese gacha games trying to get you to become gambling addicts.

Hot take, but at some point it stopped being cosplay and started being something more to "hey that character has this hair, so I put on a wig and matching swimsuit/bikini"
