Her latest set that was leaked has the photos at 1333x2000 and they're between 200-400KB in size. You can of course guess that the photos are going to look like shit. What's even funnier is that when you look at the metadata of the photos, you can see they were taken with a Sony Alpha 7R IV, which is a $3.7k 61MP camera. I'd want to end it if I spent $130 and got those photos. Thanks for blessing us with such high quality photos Xenon!!
 
I guess the logic is this resolution is enough to look at from a 6" phone screen and easier to upload on Patreon/Boosty. But besides that, I have a feeling low-res photos are Aku's decision, not Xenon's, just to save space on his hdd lol
 
it's most likely to make sure that all the editing he does is less noticeable, and well, to reduce amount of time he needs to spend on every pic. and in her case he already needs to do a lot, especially in the sets where she's wearing stuff like pantyhose
 
I use a pro camera 60% as expensive with less than half the pixels but with a full frame sensor. The raw files come out at 6016x4016 on 24.2 megapixels at 12-16mb a piece. The beauty of shooting at 24.2mp full frame is the amazing retention of detail in the photo. On a 61mp full frame sensor camera you have basically godly levels of detail retention in the photo, but also huge files. Compressing files down to such an insanely small file completely destroys the entire point of shooting at 61mp. So much detail and color quality is completely lost in the compression and the only left over product that is worth anything in the resulting photos is the composition. But colors look worse, and all intricate details are gone. It is beyond stupid to waste what should be amazingly detailed photos. It is self sabotage by the photographer, who honestly does make great photos, which makes the reduction even more painful. I love the photography, but the compression pains me so much.
 
I think it's her decision because I really don't think he would just discard the RAW files or original JPEG files from the camera and stay with shitty quality files that are a fraction of the size. Cloud storage is pretty cheap all things considered and there's plenty of places you could host the files that don't cost you anything. Patreon/Boosty doesn't charge you for uploading high quality photos and they store them forever, so there's no excuse.
I remember she had a tier on Patreon where she would provide the photos at the original resolution and it was $450 a month, so it's definitely her choice and she's intentionally withholding the better quality photos from her subscribers.
 
The low resolution stuff is intentional, higher the resolution its easier to spot bad photo editing and also nasty details
