Hello

Recently Tiktok let creator making some paid subscriptions (price depends on the creator) letting users access some private vids.
Those vids aren't visible on pc at all (on phone, you can see those vids on the creator profile if you're not subbed but just can't see them), and I can't download them.

If i try to screen record (on Iphone), when i launch the video, it's a black screen automatically until i stop the screen record. Does someone have a solution to download them ? Or shall i try to connect my phone to my pc through Bluestacks (or some log like that, it's been years since i've done that) and screen record through a log on PC ?

(I've looked for a thread on that topic, but didn't find any, sorry if it has already been asked somewhere)

Interesting, I assume the black screen is because of DRM protection. On PC an easy solution would be disabling hardware acceleration which stops the streaming service from sending frames to the GPU where they get blacked out. So perhaps if your mobile device allows it, try turning off hardware acceleration and try again.

Another option could maybe be spoofing your user agent in browser so you get the mobile version of the website. But I am not sure if that would work as they might not be serving the same resources for the web app and mobile app.

Probably the emulators like Bluestacks do have option for disabling the hardware acceleration so it might be worth giving it a try.

i'm encountering the same issue, subbed to a creator and unable to download or screen record their sub only videos, and hoping someone here can chime in.

I tried to use "iphone mirroring" on my macbook, which is a newer app made by apple that does what it says, lets you use your phone while on your macbook flawlessly (i was playing slay the spire with it earlier), and it still doesnt allow screen recording.

i think i need to try the options randomJohn121111 mentioned, either play with the browser settings, switching from desktop to mobile, or jump on my windows pc, grab bluestacks, which i believe is an android spoof? Never used it but can imagine it'll screen record that way.

Will try and update here when I do.

yes, aloha browser app on mobile (probably pc as well) works fine for DL sub only videos, or at least used to six months back when i was subbed. Try it out and report back, they may have updated the app to somehow stop it.

Just checked but the only problem is having is that the sub videos don’t load or the profile won’t load which is so dumb

Never mind I found a work around. I just gotta copy the link from the TikTok app and then put it into the browser and then I can download it

Can someone give a tutorial? It seems that it doesnt work for me

share the video link from your phone to your desktop. as long as your signed in there, it'll open. use FetchV (Chrome/FF extension) to download the video.

Do you know how to share the tiktok link from the sub only video?

there is no share button for sub only videos do you mind sending me what you see?

oh, i thought this thread was on how to excess it without paying for sub only content.

I can’t seem to get it to work on aloha browser (mobile) anyone know the work around?

If you guys wanna VIEW the sub-only videos without paying, here's "CURRENTLY" how to do it (at least on Android app, don't know other platform):

  • Pick any sub-only video. There's gonna be quick glimpse of usual UI.
  • Quickly, like the video (spam-tap the heart icon), until the heart icon turn red, it takes couple time, but make sure the heart icon turn red.
  • If the video goes to your Liked video list, then you're good to go.

  • Then after that, go to your Liked video tab.
  • From there, try to open your Liked sub-only videos.
  • If it just black screen, go back, refresh your Liked videos tab ( pull down ).
  • Now try to open the video again.

Voila! Now you can VIEW the sub-only video.

Yes, the subscription notice is obstructing, but at least now you can see what happens in those sub-only vid.
If you want to remove it, you need to hold the time marker down (the slider at the bottom)

Update: I'm suspecting this is regional thing, so if this bug works in your country, then it should be work.
Because when I used newly account from USA, it didn't work.

Previously you can even download the video, without subscribing!
By copy the link, and use any TikTok downloader.

But now... seems like they fixed it, so you can't download it via any TikTok downloader website. :FeelsRageMan:

You still can copy the link tho'.

  • Open the video. As usual if it's black screen, refresh your profile,
  • Open the video again, the quickly tap Share button to open the Share menu, then just tap Copy Link.

Guys, do you all know how to share link for highlight or story with sub only tag?

Is there any way to download or record sub videos on TikTok? I tried on my phone but it doesn’t work. Would using a desktop recorder work?
