Yeah. She seems to be a very laid back person and is not a prude and she knows she has a hot body and people enjoy seeing it and I think if it wasn't for certain people going after her over it and trying to drag her down she would probably take more roles where she does nudity but because we have people making out it is the only thing she does she has been trying to get more serious roles over the past few years and those haven't turned out to be as popular as the roles she dresses sexy in and does nude scenes. It annoys me how people constantly try to say nudity is all she does when she has been in something like 70 roles and has only gone nude in a handful of them and there are a lot of other female Actors who have done far more nudity and sex scenes than her that nobody tries to shame at all but with Sydney they completely over-exaggerate how many times she has really gone nude.

I think it’s more to do with Kim Novak not being familiar with Sydney’s work and only basing her opinion on what little she’s seen and heard of her. So it would seem she’s concerned that Sydney being cast means the movie will focus more on the sex aspect instead of how her relationship with Sammy Davis Jr. really was.

She has complained in the past about feeling her work didn’t get the respect she felt it deserved because it involved nudity, but I think in the past year or so she’s made her peace with it. She realizes it’s a big part of her brand, which is why she plays up to it in the promo materials for her lingerie line. I think she accepts that being sexualized just comes with the territory whether she likes it or not, so she might as well take control of it in her own way.
Which isn’t to say she isn’t still going to look for more serious roles to play, whether they be offered or she makes it happen through her production company.
