Simp Chat Swim Week Discussion Thread

these "swim weeks" feel less like fashion shows for brands, and more like live markets for sugar-daddies

and 'aint nothing wrong with that ~ daddies need love, too
 
you can 100% tell when it's a real fashion show meant to advertise swimwear and when it's just an excuse for models to make content
 
I'd say all runway shows are meant to be both of those. Even from the top of the line Victoria's Secret runway to the Influencer runways, they all offer a mutual and beneficial opportunity for models to put their names out and brands to showcase their lingerie/swimwear/formal wear/etc...

I'm still waiting to see if that jump ever comes where a model from here makes it to the high-end brands since I think there's certainly a few models who have it down. Victoria's Secret had that open-casting call during this year's swim week but not really sure if that's gonna go anywhere. VS and Sports Illustrated going after Gabriela Moura and some other influencers gives me some hope tbh.
 

The camera work is  AWFUL but if anyone wants to see the CISwimwear show they uploaded their own video.

I, personally, am still gonna hold out for a better video
