Some of these ASMR chicks walk a fine line, especially if they use it as a gateway to OF. But in general, Youtube really needs to overhaul their moderation system. It's pretty clear that heavily relying on AI tools for moderation is not a good solution.
 
The "gateway" argument is absurd imo. The concept that social media companies are banning people for content that exists off of that platform is not normal, and people should stop acting like it's normal. It wasn't that way for a very long time.
And furthermore, with the "real ID required" for social media it's extremely dystopian. No alt accounts are possible. No restart. And cross-platform banning. Talk about an entire population of people walking on eggshells all the time. They used to call this the "cooling of free speech". It used to be something people cared about, back when they cared about free speech or privacy at all.
But now, the government that can't ban you because of the 1st amendment can tell a "pRiVaTe CoMpAnY" to ban you and that's totally fine (twitter files) then other social media companies will also ban you because you were banned on the other. Then because it's all tied to your real ID you're permanently silenced online and removed from "the public square"TM. So, that's basically fascism.
Kind of off-subject, but not really. People being banned by AI for the mere connection with content hosted elsewhere off-platform, with no way to appeal to a human, who never violated any rules. And when you add the ID, her ability to make a new account will disappear completely. Her ability to move to a new platform may even disappear completely.
I don't think any of these things are unrelated. A super-invasive, overbearing, sanitized, censored digital prison is being built. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
 
The gateway argument is not absurd and in fact is very relevant. Simone and other ASMR creators have issues with YouTube, not simply because they have an OF. But because they push the line of what is technically allowed on YouTube, in some cases their YouTube videos are the very same video on OF. The only difference being clever editing around the NSFW parts, or removing the NSFW ending to the video. These creators are absolutely intentionally making tease videos as an effort to advertise their OF, as well as collect ad revenue from Youtube. They do so knowing full well that they are on the edge of the rules with Youtube, and then get all "shocked pikachu" when the AI moderation shuts them down. It's the same with the react channels that intentionally use copyrighted material and then cry when they get copyright strikes. There is room for nuance and discussion about these rules and subsequently how they are applied and enforced. That is why I said that Youtube's moderation system needs an overhaul. I dont necessarily disagree about the dystopian horizon we seem to be running toward, but that is out of the scope of the point I was making.
 
Nah YouTube OD for this they gon wipe half of asmr artists off the platform but not the porn ads I be getting every 2 seconds
 
I hope she takes that anger about her YT page getting nuked, drops them panties, and gets to fucking...a lot.
