If she was really that creeped out she would have quit altogether. In the case of herpes, you would definitely be able to tell. With that said, that's just an internet rumor that is very likely complete bullshit.
 
That's not true at all. Unless someone is having an active outbreak and they have it well managed, you cannot always tell when someone has herpes. Unfortunately you can still catch it from them though.
