Hi, when I try to upload pics in a thread appears a message that tell me that coulp be spam or inappropriate use of groonbox but I uploaded the pics with upload button, can u explain me why? thanks
You need to embed via Thumbnail > BBCode otherwise it won't work, there was a change made to the spam filter recently due to GoonBox changes with temporary links
Looking at your post history, you’re not using BBCode properly. I think what you’re doing is pasting the link into the Insert Image (Ctrl+P) box above the post box that’s not how you do it. You post the BBCode directly into the post
In the top right after you paste the bbcode press the [ ] button 2 to the left of preview and you can see it - click it again to go out of bb code mode
Because of a recent change on goonbox to have source and medium direct links expire we've added something to the filter such that only linked bbcode can be posted.
It does say on goonbox that source and medium links will expire
If you use the upload images button on here everything is formatted correctly for you.
You can also upload on goonbox and the default output when it finishes uploading is the correct linked bbcode, simply copy and paste that into where you write your post on here (like where I've written this text).
You have to actively try to get anything other than linked bbcode. The only 'accidental' way you might get non linked is if you click and drag images around in your post which can move the image outside the link.
TLDR, use the upload images button on here and then click post, we intentionally make it easy.
Okay, I’ve figured out how to do it. One question: why can’t I do it in existing threads? If I copy the BBCode into an existing thread, I always get the same error message, while if I copy it into a new one, it works.
While older source/medium direct links dont have the same expiry there's no way to have the filter identify if the pics were uploaded before the date of the change.
Regardless older pics should have been using linked bbcode, jpg6 did make it clear to use that on its upload page.
