Can someone explain to me why people are so mad she calls him her neighbor? I can name like 5 other streamers who hide their relationship, why is it such a huge deal when she does it?

Because they aren't neighbours and never were neighbours to begin with. He lives in Ellums apt complex and poki never lived there, she just streamed from there a few times then ditched when Ellum got cancelled.
So she's just lying for no reason.

Other streamers hide their relationships ofc but Poki puts him in nearly all her tiktoks, vlogs and flys out to wherever he goes. Then goes "uwu just a neighbour btw" whilst other streamers dont show there other half or dont put them all over there SM like poki does.
She's just annoying about it especially given this is a 30 year old woman.
 
I mean, it's a performative relationship and Pokimane herself kind of wants people to give a fuck because it gives her attention. If there's ambiguity about her relationship, it leads people to speculate and gets people talking about her.

If she really wanted to hide anything, then she wouldn't milk the relationship for content.

I just don't think it's news worthy for a female streamer to not want to label someone as their boyfriend publicly. Maybe she doesn't actually want to hide him from the world but he does, maybe they do it as a joke, maybe she tried to avoid getting hate (which didn't work cause people feel entitled to know her relationship status)

She is hanging out with a guy that is obviously her boyfriend, I just don't get why people feel like she has to tell you he's her boyfriend 🤷
 
It's not so much the fact she won't go public, she has the right to keep her relationship private.
