if you just google Snapchat story downloader and use one of the first links you can download source quality, I also got a torrent for topaz photo ai to upscale it and it does great.
 
Snap and insta compress the images so it doesn't matter if you dl directly from there the images are still going to be shit. Upscaling with AI is even worse for actual detail
 
I mean I'm not exactly sure what your expecting, the rip from snapchat is pretty good on its own, and the AI upscale i get makes it far better imo. Here's some comparisons.
 
Have you not seen actual high resolution source images from OF? You can zoom in and see more detail instead of progressive blurriness. Snap photos are by no means any good because they are compressed and no upscaling with AI fixes that and it just makes it worse the moment you zoom in
