Support Notifications stop coming

There seem to be a time limit or number of alerts limit at play, if I don't go on this forum for like 2-3 days then after page 2 or 3 of alerts and unwatched threads, all the older threads are marked watched even though I haven't seen older posts.

Is there a way to increase the number of days a thread remains as unwatched or number of unwatched threads?

That is intentional and is because this forum is very big with lots of users watching lots of threads such that the alerts database table gets too big for the forum to handle and slows down if it keeps alerts for too many days

quick question is it normal that my 11 notif can't be viewed, cause I have them but when I clicked the bell it only shows 1 page alert and the rest can't be found even when I look at see all?

My bad had that thing asked at 3 am, 🫡. (I've actually read that part but did not go further into reading it cause I was so sleepy.)

Is there any way to make posts by ignored members, in watched threads, not trigger a notification?

Am I the only one who has a notification problem? I only received notification of my posts but not from the page that I watch

Me too, no notifications from threads I watch. I only get notified on reactions to my posts

Yeah seems like they aren't triggering. I usually have 30-50+ when I log in, more than once a day and now there's zero. If I look at the list of threads I follow, tons are being updated so notifications are borked for sure.

I'm having this issue too. they appear on the watched page but not in the header bar, or whatever it's called for a notification.

Forum kept crashing (error 500) yesterday so some of the crons have been disabled to test if things improve. Those crons are what send alerts. Same reason as last time they stopped.

You're right, mostly, except the notification links will also jump the user to the latest post. The links on the watched page will get you to the top of the latest page, instead. When you have 50 new alerts every time you log in, that's a lot of extra scrolling.

Outing myself as a megagooner here, but some of us have like 60 pages of watched threads, and new posts get out of hand extremely quickly.
