The local dogging spots are something I've always thought were things most people knew? Always seeing cars in the spring/summer months disappearing down a country road that leads only to a field? It's for dogging.
Pervy older men probably exist on every street. I moved around a few times as a kid and within the first week other mothers on the street would come knock on the door and say which ones were creepy and to avoid because they were weird towards women and children. They'd even get arrested sometimes for it but rarely would they go to prison.
We have the "watershed" which means tv channels can show more adult themes after a certain time in the evening and we've had the babe channels where women sit in the underwear all day since the early 2000's. If you had Sky TV any channel above 900 was just women in lingerie trying to get you to call them.
I can understand why someone might say there is sexual repression if they are from the outside looking in but just scratch beneath the surface a little and it is there and people take no efforts to hide it.
