I had the same thing. Almost the same thing. My appendix exploded when they started the surgery. It's painful, but as long as she can post, that means she's okay. Let's hope she can relax a little and recover.

appendix surgery don't need to expose the privates, even if it's a major one where they have to suction out the remains (assuming it really went of like a bomb, usually it's just stupidly inflammed and they just snip it off)
 
I can tell you that when they had to give me surgery...they had to shave me.
 
Also, it can leave a pretty gnarly scar near the hips. I hope that doesn't cause her any brain worms about her body.

100% this. Masochists in general tend to have way higher pain tolerance than everybody else.
My sister is a nurse, and she always says she can tell when someone is either a masochist or a martial artist, cuz those are the types to be more pain-tolerant.
