Think she earns more with her OF and also due to the new JAV law have a mandatory 1 month waiting period must pass between the day a performer signs a contract and the day filming begins, and 4 months waiting period must pass between the completion of filming and the public release or distribution of the video.

She gave birth in february if she goes back to doing JAV a few months after her pregnancy think will have new release at the end of the year
 
This law went into effect since June 2022, the 23rd february 2024 100 actress and producers did a street march for protest against that.
Because this law killing jav industry threatening their livelihoods, for popular actress like Ichika Matsumoto, Yuria Yoshine, Alice Otsu etc... they have anothers way for earn money but for actress who are quite popular or not not enough popular they not earned enough.

There was also an influx of JAV actors/actresses going into side hustles such as youtube/streaming around that time too. Also lead to a lot of them going to fantia/myfans the more doujin AV route. If I remember right Chanyota during that period was doing a fitness youtube, fantia, OF and pro wrestling as side hustles to supplement the loss in income/work in JAV from the law changes the ended up retiring from JAV to focus on wrestling.

The whole idea behind the laws made sense but should have been targeted more towards the shady production companies/agencies that more or less trick girls into signing these BS contracts. All these laws really achieved was hurting the more reputable/legit companies and hurting the work/income of actors/actresses. I think with a lot of the actors/actresses going to doujin route and making a lot more money is also hurting the mainstream industry. It doesn't help when FANZA/DMM takes something stupid like 80% of the money per sale of a JAV movie and they more of less have a monopoly with digital sales of JAV.

With Maria I honestly wouldn't expect her to return to mainstream JAV unless things really slow down on OF, Myfans ect for her. Basically just using the mainstream to get attention for other platforms similar to what a lot of western pornstars do these days
 
The jav industry is so confusing to navigate, one of my favorite actors retired because she cant get any work which is wild, she's still very hot. Then you have things like payment you can hire any model under low A tier for less than 1k usd and then film with them for hours on end, some even days. Meanwhile in american porn industry you arent getting more than like 5 hours to shoot with that person, I still dont get how the industry is functioning, I think the loop hole the Japanese government tried to close is maybe guys setting up a jav company just to fuck with 0 care of following compliance, also gives the girl a month to back out of it, instead of signing a quick contract to fuck on the same weekend

I still cant get over the fact how cheap it is to hire jav models for a shoot were you can get them to do anything, the black male jav actor left the industry because of similar fatigue the pay is bad
