Can't disagree with anything you write here, it's a point I've seen made in general many times as you acknowledge, however I think you miss something in the round about why these girls choose this lifestyle in the first place.
The self-employment aspect is as at least a big attraction as the money. You see the exact same thing with youtube creators all the time except when they slow down or quit nobody calls them lazy because it's understood that it's a strange life with burnout inevitable.
You gotta ask yourself why is it that these girls aren't working a normal job in the first place? There's probably more of a push away from a 9-5 than a pull to sex work. Not everyone, sure, but I'd guess stuff like adhd/autism is high or at least some mental health condition. Then all the pressure of being a creator, the unforeseen admin, unexpected working hours, etc for someone maybe unreliable who chose the lifestyle for a flexible routine suddenly finding they have to keep to a routine just like a normal job - only they're not capable. That leads to depression, self-loathing, & a spiralling down.
While this sounds over-dramatic, it's the exception not the rule to be successful in this business long term. It's unusual for girls who choose to do this to actually be good at it. Luna Roux prob hates this work and wanted to quit years ago but just can't get another job
