She never once mentioned macromastia anywhere. It came down to both the fact she didn't want to wear actual fitted bras because they weren't "hot," and she didn't want to do any exercise to strengthen her back support (which would help so many women who get reductions with how young they all were) because she had the moronic idea that she'd get massive traps she thought it wouldn't look good.

welp, macromastia itself would be very rare. Only those medical cases and only a few BR cases qualified as that. Tons, thousands, of BR cases were not about macromastia. Some of them were also funded and approved in some national health care for a simple reason of "very large breasts (as in, discomfort)". As we understand, mostly it's elective. This is not medical cases where patients had other complications, esp. infections, that mostly required some form of *mastectomy*.

As such, you could in fact say most BRs were unnecessary in your terms, but the women would definitely disagree.
