Gatekeeping makes perfect sense. If you pay a fortune for something you don't really want to give it away for free. When you buy a new car you don't just hand the keys to everyone who asks lol That's what makes GoldKnight67 such a prince. Very generous in a way that most people would not be!
 
Your example is a bad one. When you buy a new car you don´t hand the keys to others because the time others spend driving your car means it is unavailable for you. With digital media, sharing does not private you from accessing or enjoying the content. The distribution of said content generates a copy.
Sharing bought content has no direct repercussion in how you enjoy the media, it just has some risks in case of being identified by the seller.
This is a forum where we constantly watch content for free, and that content that is free for us has to be bought by others. Gatekeeping is, in essence, wanting all the rights to access to free content, without attending the moral obligation of giving back to others.
That being said, the psychology of individuals is complex, and there are certainly some valid motives that one can find to "gatekeep". Your example is probably not one of those, as it constitutes a logical error.

I mean buddy’s got a point. It makes no sense to be apart of a forum where to whole point is to share what you have and enjoy what others have and then decide to with hold things while somebody else is freely posting. If there are others here with nudes, posting them literally does nothing to affect how you’re gonna whack off before hand. It’s weird to give something value that might just get leaked anyways. That’s why I said above that there’s like only one person I’ve seen on the entire internet who has her nudes and it’s goldknight. If more people were posting. The worry of one person being caught leaking wouldn’t be an issue.

Yeah I saw the live aswell, shit was scary to see go down. She got convinced to show her view out front then somebody found the address and everyone starting spamming it. She was crying and seemed genuinely terrified (rightfully so) I mean some of us gooners have some screws loose so I totally get that. I hope nothing bad comes from it though, she actually seems like a great person.
