If Obsession came out within, say, 5 years of Get Out (2017), I'm sure more people would have called it out for being a bit too derivative of Jordan Peele's film. Even though the idea of a person's "real" personality being trapped is very similar, enough time has passed and the story is different enough IMO. Also, both Jordan Peele and Daniel Kaluuya received the appropriate accolades - an Oscar win for original screenplay and a nomination for best actor, respectively.

Speaking of awards though, I'm not sure about her deserving best actress, but nomination, sure. And probably best cinematography for the film as well.
