Question Have you guys ever been infected by an mp4 from here?

Basically the title. Got infected recently and I'm paranoid, I usually download from phone so idk if it's safer or not. Malwarebytes shows no viruses but Its not always concrete.

Gotten malware from malware that was hiding on an mp4 file

Was it an mp4 disguising as an exe file?

The infection was on my PC and had nothing to do with mp4. I'm just being a bit paranoid with pirated content. But no I'm referring to hidden malware on mp4 files, I always check if it's an exe file, although on phone It'd be an apk

I didn't get infected from here. I was just being paranoid mostly. Considering most of the files shared here are mp4 or mp3 the possibility of malware is low unless you accidentally download an exe from the file share hosts, but you'd notice that most of the time

an mp4 cannot contain any malicious code, it only contains data that is relevant to the video. MP4 is a container for other video/audio codecs. i'd go as far to say that unless you are opening an exe file or a python script or following some URL that is a scam for malware, you will be fine.

Never got infected from here, but I'm not downloading zip/rar/exe, for reasons.

zip and rars are fine, exe never unless its a verified crack
