Hanabie is an amazing all female Metalcore band.
They describe their genre as Harajuku-Core. referencing the clothing style and counter culture movement Harajuku which originated in Tokyo. But don't get fooled by their looks, or they will blow you away.
The members include the 3 orignial members that met in school:
Yukina: Harsh vocals / lyrics
Matsuri: Guitar / Clean vocals / arrangment
Hettsu: Bass / Styling (also did the art for them in the indie days) / self describes alcholic
And their newest member who joined in 2023 after their old drummer left Chika: Drumms
They started off as an Maximum the Hormone cover band and toured the Tokyo underground scene for years.
In 2021 thx to a crowdfunding campaing the released their first record and shortly before their 2nd record released (and after switiching drummer) they signed with Sony's Epic Records.
They have been touring the world almost non stop ever since, playing in Festivals and supporting big artists.
