Dumb question, are the wallpapers not interactive anymore ? Because I see that they are directly mp4 here
 
I think it's because application wallpapers have a bad reputation, they can hide viruses or crypto miners etc...
Wallpaper Engine even disabled steam workshop support for them

Or maybe they were very hard to make ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
