So, about alerts, are they set to come back in a week or something, or they are goners?
 
Note: "Alerts" not working at the moment. Hope this gets fixed soon.

I’ve been having an issue for a bit where the alert bell will show I have active alerts. Anywhere from 5-30, but when I open up the alert tab there are none available.
 
Alerts seem to be broken. I wasn't receiving any alerts via the bell; for some reason all my alerts were toggled off in account preference?? Also, in watched threads the blue icon indicating new unread items wouldn't disappear on some threads until I did a "Mark Forums Read".
 
Is something broken with the 'Watched' list? I have threads with the blue dot next to them that I've already viewed. Even clicking their name to open it repeatedly doesn't make the dot go away.

Do I have to click 'Mark Forums Read' every time I go through my Watched now?
 
Anyone else get 403 error using a vpn with dns adblock?
Been using the aloha one for a long time no problem but last few days its been get the 403 error quite often
 
I recently started getting a warning on the captcha about "unusual automated looking activity"
I click the captcha and everything goes through I can still use the site

I have gotten the warning for 2 days now I think, and more than once on the same session
I tend to use this site in incognito, and sometimes Ill have a chrome extension browser VPN active but not always

Is this something I should be worried about?
Should I not be using the VPN?
 
Same here got that captcha warning and I'm absolute not a bot :KEKWlaugh: first time ever is this going to be the current thing? hopefully it really doesnt fuck up for the rest of us that are actually legit.
 
I just got that "unusual automated looking activity" notice and CAPTCHA and I'm not using a VPN.
 
I can't find all alert button and unread alert button anymore? Does alert currently having a problem?
 
I got hit with it as well (no VPN). Site issues maybe? idk, site was pretty unresponsive when i got hit with it.
 
Our alerts system has being completely reworked to remove alerts from the cron queue so the database doesn't get 10gb worth of data shuffled around every 5-10 minutes. Instead they are managed by something else.

While that is being tested and bugs fixed our previous alerts improvements addon is disabled. That addon gives the separate unread and all tabs and shuffles alerts around so unread are always shown at the top, I believe it also added the alerts button to the drop down menu when you click on your profile pic top right of site.

This was happening for me yesterday but appears to have stopped so I assume fixed but will keep eye on it.
 
As for the captcha people are getting, I believe its related to this being re-enabled (it was only on for a day or two last time)
 
Why aren't notifications for the topics I follow showing up anymore? Even with everything enabled in the settings. 🤔
 
I posted a high-res source photo, reported a post that contained that photo but in a lower resolution, and I get this message.

Don't forum rules say to avoid duplicates and prioritize source quality? It was just one photo. I get it.
But then, was I supposed to do nothing? Just let anyone maybe leave a reaction assuming it's a repost? (which wouldn't affect the mods).
Or leave it open for anyone to report me as a "duplicate" and have to review it? That scenario is what I think would be a waste of time
