We're not going to do that, it will have to start from scratch and follow the megathread rules

I think the dev team should also work on improving the notification system. It's annoying to see the notifications keep disappearing all the time. :sadKEK:

are we forced to see created thread notifications now? I don't see an option to turn it off

Is the alerts button under the username dropdown menu coming back? It's missing now after the latest shutdown

you can simply use the bell icon why do you even need that seperately under the dropdown menu

Regarding the recent messages about the Alerts system, we had a routine scheduled maintenance overnight.

As we've explained several times before, the Alerts system is quite delicate and handles a massive volume of requests. Because of this, whenever we perform an update, we also need to clean up the system afterwards.

Below are a few messages from Poki that should help clarify how the system works and hopefully answer any further questions about it.

We've now moved to a new custom alerts system with the maintenance earlier which has been made to prevent some backend issues with alerts such as inability to delete posts while alerts being sent in very popular threads.

They have been

Do you mean this menu?

There was an alerts button in there?
Did it go to this page?
If so I can add that back in relatively easily.

What do you mean? You get alerts for other people making threads?

Is there a way to contact a mod/admin without it being publicly posted? I remember there being something like that but can’t remember.

Yes, that's where the alerts button was. It helps when I have over a hundred alerts and don't want to wipe them all by tapping the bell icon. Would love to have it back there, Thanks!

POKI What are the rules about using userscripts on SimpCity? Especially the userscripts created by AI agents? To improve the site UI, of course, not to scrape. Is that okay?

If its you turning up with 0 evidence again then dont waste our time

So long as its not all within your browser and not sending extra requests etc then sure.
The staff have scripts to help with modding

Oh I see yeah I was watching it. Weird I never toggled that on. Thx

I noticed that the BBcode links with Goonbox gives a noticeable quality decrease on pictures now, even though the pictures uploaded are still source quality when you click on them. It’s only happened recently, and most of my posts from the past week still have their medium quality BBcode thumbnails. I usually just copy and paste the links soon as they finish, so i don’t go out of my way to choose the Medium BBcode links.

You may have done it by accident a while ago but such alerts were disabled with the old system which in itself was annoying for those who did want to watch for new threads i.e. mods.

I think its done, let me know if I missed any posts, kinda hard to tell
