Guide Forum Post Downloader - Tampermonkey Script

While you guys are working in the new version, would be awesome if it was more compatible with Violentmonkey.

I've submitted PR#64 for these changes we've been working on. Thanks to iNeed2Sleep and hotandcold for the test/code help and rubikstube for the test.
Biggest problem with violentmonkey I think is browser downloads API support (Issue #1349). The good news is that there's a request to fix that (PR#2552). It was awaiting review as of a couple days ago, so there's hope it lands soon and becomes easy to add support.
 
I haven't checked lately, but I feel like it was working just fine for me with ViolentMonkey (at least before Google totally locked out manifest v2)
 
That's also the reason I can't get JDownloader to work with Pixeldrain, because it wants me to do a captcha, which I can't do because Chrome disabled the extension you need.
 
Oh, I hadn't tried it with every single storage provider. Does this mean TamperMonkey can get around it?
What's that got to do with Jdownloader, though? It's not Chrome based.

On the main 3.20 version or the 3.21.b01 version here?
Worked fine for me on the latter. I wasn't able to reproduce the issue you're having. The usual suspect is either Cloudflare or a stall. Can you provide your console messages?

Yeah, I think that's one of the fixes. The main one should be updated once the maintainers get a chance to review the changes, but you can use that in the mean time. :)
 
Im having trouble downloading pictures, like the download post button does not appear. But for posts that contain videos the download button appears and can be downloaded like normal. If there is a post with mix pictures and videos only the video is detected. Does anyone know how to solve it?
 
Can we get rid of the automatic peepolove reaction, as i'm woriied that many reactions on lots of posts will trip the spam filter
 
I've been using this for over a year and never had an issue with the spam filter. The reaction is useful to let me know what I've already downloaded
 
I'm probably doing something stupid, but using ViolentMonkey the script runs, but then fails to actually download the ZIP. I'm not sure if this is tied to the above referenced issue or not - it used to work though, so I don't get why that changed.
So I switched to TamperMonkey and must be doing something stupid cause the scripts show as being installed but are grayed out and not running???
