Support Filester.me Issues and Questions

Any update on the playback issues? Lots of content is being uploaded to filester yet I can't watch any of it

Uploads still not working as they should (at least for me)
Tried three times...in matter of seconds the upload-speed drops to 20kB/s & hangs for 10 seconds all the time

i'm surprised there aren't any posts here yet.
is there any indication of when we’ll be able to upload files again? it’s now been 14 hours and it’s still not working. at the top of the forum it still says: ‘Filester are fully operational.’
well, at least i managed to upload a few things in advance yesterday.

Anyone else experiencing issues with uploads being really slow? Like 20 KB/s max. This has been the case for the last several hours

I also haven't been able to upload files since yesterday; upload speeds remain below 5 KB/s, but the upload percentage remains at 0. I tried a VPN and it didn't work either. DoS attacks prevent uploads? I had download problems last week, but I fixed them with a VPN

I think there’s a pagination bug in /api/v1/files
One folder reports 459 files, but fetching all five pages returns only 380 unique IDs, the other 79 results are duplicates from previous pages.
Searching for the missing files individually finds them correctly.
I’m seeing the same thing in several larger folders, while folders under 100 files work fine. It looks like the page ordering may not be stable.

On Firefox when you load all pages its resets back again after you clicked on one file and go back. Is there a setting somewhere for that so it remembers. Its no big deal though.

Feedback and suggestion:

Might have mentioned this already - thanks for adding the 'Info' option for each file. However, I would still like to see all file information for all my files in one go. Therefore, it would be nice if that could be exported into, say, a .csv file, with all my files listed in each row and file information as columns.

Filester is being under attack again, but now on download servers. Uploads and downloads might fail.

Here's an insightful chart, during the attacks upload servers are overloaded, network drops, and therefore uploads take a long time to process. Usually its a few ms to upload, but during attacks it goes to over 10 mins per upload depending on file size.

More and more attacks.

New server was deployed, working on setting up ddos-guard on all proxies, .me should be up as soon as I'm done setting up the firewall.

New theme launching soon, and some more new features that helps us get out of beta and deliver a more polished and feature-rich site.

Quite funny that a beta site has over 1.1 PB of data stored in 7 months - duplicated for redundancy - (over 2.2 PB stored).
223 Million downloads :POGGIES:. (This is over 1 million downloads per day for the last 7 months!)
Crazy.

Some more stats:

Features added so far apart from the new theme:

1. Export your files in a CSV (thanks for the suggestion daveanon)
2. Chunked uploads (or not! you get to decide how to upload your files (chunked/legacy) (option modal on the index)), custom chunk sizes, parallel uploads, strip metadata. API upload endpoint is untouched, chunked only applies when uploading via the browser.
3. Grid preview of videos (just like bunkr) (see below)
4. Implemented API rate limiting to 1,000 requests/hour. If you need more than this contact me and it can be lifted on an account and ip basis at our discretion. This just helps us prevent abuse, as some users were spamming us with over 2,000 requests/second trying to DoS us.

Planned but not added just yet:

- Theme palette.
- Light mode.
- Stats page where you can see all your video stats, trending videos, trending albums, etc.
- Recovery passcode in case you forget your password.

Also note:

Storage maintenance & upgrades

We are carrying out maintenance on our storage cluster to improve performance and scalability. This process is read/write intensive and is expected to take 5–7 days to complete. Uploads, and non-cached files might take longer while this process is happening.

Will keep the thread closed while I continue to work on the new version, but if you are wanting to share some feedback and/or request features my DMs are open :OkayChampThumbs:

New version is now live! Please any bugs, suggestions post them here!

Just for now: Chunked uploads are not working on proxy domains, and is being worked on. ETA is ~20-30 mins from this post.
Chunked working now for all domains.

Thread is now open!

Upload page doesn't benefit from resumable downloads, it's still "cancel" button which in fact does cancel the upload and restarts completely even when the method is "chunked".
Also dropping folders in upload area doesn't respect selected folder to use as a base and instead creates a folder in the root with public access.

First off, GREAT work, love this site.
It would be good to be able to sort the files from A-Z and not just the folders in the file management section. It seems to only sort the current page and not the complete list of files.

Hi, love the new updates, I wonder if it could be possible to select multiple files and move into a single folder?
This is not for local uploads, it's for the cloud mirror files, alternative maybe it could be possible that the option "copy to account" had a option with selectable folders in which to copy / mirror the file.
Thanks for all your hardwork btw.

In the API docs under 'Limits', there is : 'Folder nesting depth: Unlimited nested folders'. However attempting to create folders which are more than three levels deep results in: 'Error! Maximum folder depth reached'

Could you please either update the documentation to reflect this reality or update functionality as to allow unlimited folder depth. - Thanks!
