In this thread, we take fictional characters from video games, anime and cartoons, etc. and convert them to realistic style with a prompt to convert them into realistic characters using an image generator. This is a concept I originally saw in Twitter and thought it might be a good idea to have a thread like this.
  • I urge you all to follow the rules while doing this. NO REAL PEOPLE.
  • No underage resemblances. Content depicting characters that resemble minors is strictly prohibited to maintain a safe, adult-friendly environment. To add to this, obviously don't convert characters from anywhere that resembles minors.
  • No tricks: Trying to bypass the rules by creating threads of real people, but not specifying their name will get the thread deleted and your account striked. (don't do any sneaky stuff like swapping faces of characters to real people)
  • Any character depicted here is ideally from a picture of a fictional character and converts it into a realistic style human character with a text prompt in an image generator with img2img. If that character ends resembling another real person, it is not intentional and purely coincidental. I have no problem with such posts being removed.
Here's a general idea of what I have in mind:
I take a picture of a fictional character like, say Jill Valentine from Resident Evil 3.

I run it through with an image generator. I found that GPT Image works best for this. (Nanobanana also works, although not quite as good) I use the prompt: "Transform the people in the image into real people. Create a photo that looks like it was taken with an iPhone. The photo has a clear subject or specific composition, while the overall effect is a casual, unconscious snapshot. The photo should not look like it was generated by artificial intelligence, but rather like it was taken by a real person. Give it a suitable background."

So side by side comparisons are highly encouraged, though not necessary. The downside is, image generators don't accept pictures that are too NSFW. But there's a lot of stuff out there that can nudify a picture, right?

I noticed some images don't go through GPT Image, due to similarity to 'third-party content' (copyright). So I made a prompt for Nanobanana (I used Google Flow) that captures pose, outfit and framing from an original image to use there, since they allow it. Seems to work well:
'Photorealistic real-life version of the person in the reference image, standing in the exact same pose, exact same framing, and exact same camera angle. Perfectly replicate the outfit, clothing details, accessories, hairstyle, and body proportions from the reference. Transform the fictional character into a real human with natural skin texture, realistic pores, subtle skin imperfections, lifelike eyes, and natural lighting.
Ultra-detailed photorealism, natural skin, realistic fabric textures and wrinkles, detailed hair strands, cinematic lighting, soft shadows, sharp focus, shot on professional full-frame camera with 50mm lens, 8k resolution, highly detailed, masterpiece'

I did some but I ran a pre-made prompt for professional photography to give more a sense of photorealism. I've been using the txt2img tools from Digen which is quite handy given it's unlimited for a very cheap subscription

Tried doing a bit more like a playboy photoshoot, with the Frozen princesses, did some fiddling with the prompt by making analog filters and make it less cartoonish

Took me some trying to reach the level of fidelity I could find. Ever since grok scaled down for moderation I've been trying other tools. Tapedit was nice but they also switched to a credit model. Then I found Digen that uses their credits just for video generation (which is quite good BTW) but I've been using only their t2i and i2i for these ones. The key is to use two or more tools to get what you want. First I pick a base image, with highest fidelity and do the "reverse prompt" at gemini, grok ou deepseek, but asking to turn into a photorealistic live action model. From there you use the chat to give more prompts to generate what you're looking for. If the resulting image looks too cartoonish I use the Flux.2 model that makes a nice post processing and also provides more photorealistic nudity in comparison to other ones
So far I recommend a lot Digen even though is a paid platform, is quite a reasonable price for what it offers
 
there's a child's comic book quite famous in Brazil called Chico Bento, depicting the life of a country kid in which among other things he attends school where he's teached by Miss Marocas

A little bit of experimentation and the results were quite promising

So why not staying after classes, right?
