Honest question: in writing that comment, what was your motivation? Is there something you get out of being insulting to strangers?
 
I'm pretty sure he has no motivation in anything he does. Just a massive loser who obsesses over his woman and thus hates him.
 
Is that so? I've actually never spent a cent on this girl and rarely look at her content. When I do, though (I like her body type), a lot of her content has this repulsive, gnarly-looking hippie dude in it, which forces me to shut it off.
Now, many people agree with my perspective, which means it's not a one-off. I just asked a simple question: does he smell like he looks?
 
First, as a factual matter, you didn't "just" ask "a simple question." You also provided suggested answers where those answers are negative.
Second, who cares if people agree with your perspective? Agreement by others is not indicative of anything other than agreement. It is not a sign that you are correct, that your actions are appropriate or anything else.
Third, I'll ask again, what was your motivation for asking the question in the first place? Was it just to get an answer or were you trying to be insulting? It seems like the second. And if so, why? What, pray tell, do you get out of being insulting to strangers?

There are many things I don't like in the world. Many people who I'd rather not interact with. I don't go out of my way to insult them to others, though. So I am wondering why you do? Does it make you feel something positive?

I'll answer your question so you have a model for what answering a question looks like: I don't enjoy watching people insult others for no reason, or for the reason of feeling better about themselves. It reminds me that people like to act cruel to others while they could just be silent. So, when I see people act like that, I ask why and if they happen to engage honestly, I will argue/discuss with them. That is why I keep asking you, though I don't agree in your characterization of my actions as sanctimonious grandstanding. To each their own I guess...
Also, if I like looking at the dude, why would that even matter to you? I don't get why you care at all. That is another motivation of my asking you about it. I am sorry that I struck a nerve with you. I'll make sure to not intrude on your safe space going forward.
