I was subscribed to her for about six months after she had the kid and she’s been claiming she’s gonna come back like every few months. It must make her enough money to continue trying to come back, but I don’t think she’s gonna come back at all.

HSV1 is generally oral. It can also affect genitals. You can be infected in both areas, but that is not always the case.
HSV2 is genital and in rare cases oral.
The virus lays dormant in the nerve cells of the infected area.
 
So its both by your own admission. Might actually wanna do your research. You dont even know what viral shedding is and think the virus lays dormant the infected area ffs. The virus sits in the sensory nerve ganglia and can flare based on a multitude of factors. However at any time you carry a viral load to matter what with a small chance to pass it out.
Your ignorance is why this stuff spreads so easily.

I will break this down into simpleton terms.
You have cold sore (HSV1). It affects mouth. You suck your boyfriends dick. Virus has now infected his genitals.
Boyfriend has genital herpes. Boyfriend does not have oral herpes.
You have oral herpes. You do not have genital herpes.

Are you? Do a basic Google search and not just some ai bullshit next time. HSV-1 (oral herpes) and HSV-2 (Genital herpes) are two different viruses. Someone sucking your dick with HSV-1 doesnt just magically give you HSV-2. It gives you HSV-1. Furthermore just because they are called "genital" and "oral" doesnt mean the virus just sticks to those areas. Thats where your getting hung up.
