Been trying to use CTBrec instead of WSR for VR streams but they arent playable in Heresphere for some reason. Oddly they work in VLC though. Any tips?
 
Tried that, removed the folder, reinstalled it... made no difference.. only lost all my favorite girls & settings.

Doubt this could have worked for you mate.

Trying out CTBrec now... not very user friendly by the first looks.
 
So it wasnt only me... Been using both WSR and CTBrec becase sometimes WSR defults to a lower resolution or skip a whole scene when theirs lag. Just noticed both stopped recording :(
 
Using CTBRec 5.4.6 and single show recordings always end up being split into bunch of .ts files which when merged into single have either long video freezes or audio is completely out of sync. Seen people saying it's due VPN but no matter how many servers I try it stills ends up like this. Any fixes?
 
For me too. It also often crashes but in the background. So you must actively click on CTBRec window and then in crashes. But it might be frozen already for a long time in the background. Definitely not my favourite but as intermediate solution it's better than nothing.
 
I've been using ctbrec for years and it runs fine even on my £200 laptop, not sure what to suggest really unless you maybe have a bunch of errors occurring in the background which might show up in the logs

I actually found the opposite. When using WSR I would get a lot more splits in files and the end of a lot of files would be 'corrupted'. When I generated a thumbnail album image at some point the time would stop/show as weird numbers. When watching, the file would be fine up until that point and then would just have a frozen image. I ended up using LosslessCut to find the last valid keyframe and cut up to that point so the video would be fine. Haven't encountered that with CTBRec.
My settings in CTBRec are pretty much defaults other than the following:
Under Recorder-
FFmpeg parameters: -c:v copy -c:a copy -copyts -start_at_zero -y -f matroska
File Extension: mkv
 
Has anyone ever tried running this software on a VR headset? Would that work?
 
I think it only fixed StripChat not working. I'm not the dev. Just got the details from Discord.
 
I'm using Shutter Encoder to reduce the size of 4K and 2K files, it drastically reduces the file size and the quality is the same with the AV1 codec option output in MP4. You get to choose the file size, it's good for upload 4K videos on Bunkr. For the videos I can't get in AV1 on the Eponer site, I just do it myself with Shutter Encoder.
 
Thanks for this. CTB recorder has been doing a terrible job at remixing to mp4. I've been seeing a awful mismatch in audio to video. No way to edit to match because the audio moves out of place every few seconds while stitched together
 
Webcam Streams Recorder v3.11.1
This version is a small but important update because it fixes an issue that caused requests to SC to start returning 403 errors after running for a while, preventing new recordings from starting.
Additionally, stability when recording private shows has been improved.
