Had a thought the other day. She's been at this for years now right?
Went from girly films to watching all sorts made over decades.
Anyone stopped and thought that at some point she actually has become a bigger movie buff than you?
Like, I've been pretty lax on watching movies since after lockdown. Not too many new releases interested me.
I kinda fell into podcasts, videogames, reading articles and listening to music as my primary downtime stuff I do in the house.
It's wild to think at some point since she started her channel, she's probably surpassed my own history of movie watching.
In fact her wide-eyed freshness to them is what made me basically want to rewatch classics through her eyes again.
 
It depends. First we would have to define what you mean by " movie buff." If it means someone that watches a lot of movies, including classics, or knowing several facts about specific films, then maybe. On the other hand, I believe what makes a movie buff is also the development of a refined taste for good art as expressed in films. If she stopped listening to her audience for a few months, what kind of movies would appear on her channel? Do you think she would choose to watch David Lynch's Twin Peaks or one of his films without outside influence? Would she develop a curiosity over short films? Would she be able to describe what made of movie good besides "it was fun" and "the actors did such a good job?" Could she point out a larger theme of the movie or seize on a motif? would she be able to recognize the allusions and allegories being made in the films? She's now likely to be more cultured than the average person, that's for sure.
 
I suppose I actually just meant. "How many movies have you watched." Though she probably has a hang on good movies by now.
Her talk about a movie afterward was often insightful if even just from a common denominator perspective in what captures an audience.
 
Mrs. Movies from You, Me, & The Movies also watches films regularly for their channel, but she barely remembers anything they have seen LOL
 
Watching her latest reaction video on YT and she/editor forgot to blur some nudity, got me curious if her reactions on Patreon are completely uncensored including the nudity and sex scenes and how she reacts to them. :-)

We'll see on August 15 how much she remembers from those movies
She'll be participating in a trivia contest with other reactors organized by Kat from KatWatchesHorrorMovies. Jen Murray, Ashleigh Burton, EOM and Cassie are the reactors announced so far for the contest
 
Don't get me wrong, she might not have crazy knowledge stored but it's also just interesting to think there was a naive, clueless Cassie and now she's probably got better passing knowledge than the average person.
So many references, names, memes and the like she would understand now. Like a person just clicking and understanding a whole microcosm of human culture.
That's kinda what I was getting at originally.
It reminds me of being about 10. For some reason, music didn't click with me at all until then.
It was like opening Pandora's Box and I was like. "Ah, now I get it and just kinda got a whole part of human culture."
So it's almost like seeing that with another medium and watching a person gain some enrichment from understanding a whole shared experience.
I haven't been watching reactors for a good while but I'll try and keep this in mind and check that out when it happens.

Part of me wants Tropic thunder to win, because I think she will like it, but part of me wants EuroTrip or Borat to win for the reaction

Yeah I seen that earlier on her channel, she needs a raunchy 80s comedy with plenty of nudity so it should be of course Revenge of the Nerds rip Robert Carradine and Donald Gibb
