She's dating Will Neff who formerly worked at The Young Turks and Buzzfeed. Who is a very close friend of Hasan and is part of a podcast with him aside from their personal friendship. Her whole persona is acting like a better-than-you, old money left wing elite stereotype (groups which she does not belong to in reality). Her twitter is like if an AI was trained on MSNBC segments. It's totally expected for her to spew stuff like that.
If anything, it makes you appreciate how good Neff is at not behaving that way given his girlfriend and best friend are poster children for it.
