I've said it before, but I feel like we're witnessing the de-vtuberization of several vtubers. Yuzu and Vienna posting selfies and Numi doing more facecam streams. I feel like they want to broaden out into more normal streamer stuff without being stuck behind an avatar or mask.
 
On the one hand, I don't know how I feel about the de-vtuberization.

Well, most indie Vtubers are just e-girls who jumped on the vtubing trend because it was popular and offered a new market in which to earn money. Once the format had established itself and gave them the money or fame they wanted, or kicked them out of the loop, they started to crawl back to IRL content. Of course, not all cases are like this, but most of them are.

Egirls, but also introverts who were too shy and anxious to show their faces. Vtubing is like a confessional that gives them more confidence to say whatever they want. Tricky got WAY more confident when she switched to vtubing.
The issue is that it's so limiting and it makes it hard to collab with face streamers, which limits opportunity.
I also think vtubers attract a certain kind of unsocialized viewer and they probably want some more normy fans.

Wow, wow, just wow, she looks fucking flawless! I was starting to think content creation might be behind her but I'll take this as a great sign the passion and creativity is starting to come back. Seems like fun irl streams and collabing with friends could be the key moving forward. Regardless of what the future holds, this is the happiest she's looked in a very long time and that's what matters most. I don't know if I could handle seeing that gorgeous face goon her brains out but that won't stop me from imagining it. :cumsby:
 
Who was she streaming with today? they have the same accent so my brain thinks they are related but i've been out of the loop
