I've been experimenting with converting flat 2D photos into stereoscopic 3D photos using depth mapping models.
You will need an XR device of some sort to view these correctly, such as
VR Googles (Apple Vision, Meta Quest, etc.) and/or
AR Glasses (Vitrue, RayNeo, etc.). I personally use the
Skybox VR app on a Meta Quest device.
Make certain that the projection/view type is set to "
Normal" and "
3D SBS" and "
Cinema". Finally, and this part is very important, make sure in the settings that
Full SBS Matching is enabled. Once you've done that, it should be displaying correctly. You can choose to scale it up a bit at that point if you want to make it larger.
I'm a bit biased, but I think it's pretty remarkable how well it works.
