I sometimes save them as M4As to save space and still get the thumbnail, unless the stream relies on visual input in which case is better to just bite the bullet and save them as mp4, that's the next best option to outright just save them as mp3s.

Not sure if Rplay keeps vods like youtube or do they get deleted like twitch if it's old enough?

I'm pretty sure Rplay holds on to the vods unless the creator indicates otherwise. Could I trouble you to post that in her content thread instead?
