Support Alerts not working

I'm just wondering if there is a system wide issue with alreats not working. As of today I'm not getting any. If I use search to find any watched threads, they're showing new content. I haven't changed any settings etc. Yesterday it worked fine. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks
 
They're not working for me either. I just got a "suspected automated activity" or something of the like captcha and a 403 forbidden earlier today.
 
interesting. I am getting alerts for every post that's updated on the site lol. There's def an issue

edit - I have 44 pages of alerts for Today lol
 
I have this symptom and just re-enabled alerts in Preferences. I also got a captcha.
 
Thanks for the responses. Lucky that I saved this thread to my browser or I would not have received the replies lol

This morning when I logged on it showed a number of alerts, but when I clicked the bell there was nothing there and the number disappeared with "nothing to show"
 
Same, and some of my watched threads are showing the blue dot, signifying new content, but no matter how many times I go to those threads, there's no new content and the blue dot doesn't go away.
 
Same just been having to mark forums read to get rid of threads i already seen but hopefully things get back in order a day or two from now
 
Yep, noticing that also. Not the end of the world; it'll certainly get taken care of at some point.
 
I am in the same boat as asders567. When I went to my Preferences, the alerts had all been turned off. I just had to re-check them.

If I still don't recieve alerts moving forward (because having been unchecked I am not expecting to suddenly have alerts from posts in my watched threads beforehand), I'll edit my post to update.

If you don't see my post edited with an update, assume that just clicking to enable the notifications again in Preferences fixes the isue.
 
After re-enabling the alerts in Preferences I’m now receiving alerts about reactions and replies.

The visited threads are also being correctly marked as read in Watched Threads, so everything seems to be resolved for me. :-)
 
After re-enabling the alerts I'm just receiveing alerts about reactions to my posts, nothing else. :Sadge:
 
Do yall still the options at the top? it used to be like "unread" "read" etc.....
 
Small update after doing nothing; it seems to have stopped and is showing normal alerts again.
 
Hello, my alerts have never been disabled. They are still active, but I don't receive anything at all except notifications when people react to my posts.
 
i just need alerts for posts on watched threads. it's always been wonky
