He can't very well continue to sell and profit from content featuring his ex, it would be illegal to do so without her express consent, which I guarantee you she has not agreed to considering she's fully retired from sex work. The 'mystery ailment' was never a mystery either, they were very open about it being potentially life threatening cancer. The only one here who sounds like a moron is you.
 
He probably could sell her content because she already gave consent at the first time they released to the public, after all, their channel is still up and he is still profiting from her content.
i think its more likely he doesnt want to release to not be an asshole or he actually just doesnt have it.
