In my country you can barely afford living with the crap most jobs pay. Doesn't matter if it's flipping burguers or anything else. You even see doctors sharing an apartment because they can't afford to live on their own.
I feel like a modern day slave at mine to be honest. It's frustrating to see how it doesn't matter how hard you work anymore. It just doesn't get you anywhere.
Sorry for the off topic rant. She should manage a bit better her finances. Opening an OF should help her to make some buck. She should quit the escort thing if it's real. That'll hurt her in the long term.
