Simp Chat Uncompressed DVDs of standard definition movies Discussion Thread

The JACKET_P folder contains image files (Jacket Pictures) designed to be displayed on some DVD players when the playback is stopped or paused. Today, this folder is mostly irrelevant and can be ignored.
 
Here is another test. This time I had the physical DVD
Scene: Deepthroat Virgins 9 - Scene 5
Original file ripped using MakeMKV
Original file re-encoded using ffmpeg -crf 18
Scene from AdultDVDEmpiere streaming
Upscaled using Topaz, interlaced/upscaled to 60fps
 
One tip: Ideally you want to pass the original source (.VOB files) into Topaz instead of re-encoding first. You can find those files in the VIDEO_TS folder (if you have a .iso file just right click it and open with Windows Explorer then navigate into the mounted disc to find them). You can use ffmpeg to losslessly (pass in the -c copy option) combine multiple files if you want the whole movie in a single file.
It's probably best to set quality level to high in Topaz - this will produce a large file size but you can then re-encode that for the end result. I think this is better than setting the quality level to low/medium but not a 100% sure. It's definitely better if you're gonna re-encode the Topaz output anyway.
I find that Iris with "Input condition" medium upscaled 4x usually produces the best results but curious to hear if others have had success using different models or tweaking the settings. I only ever touch "Recover detail" - I turn it up until the output looks acceptable (lower values look more "weird" in my experience) and usually end up somewhere in the 50-80 range. Topaz markets the Iris model as being "good for human faces" but I have a feeling that this is their way of hinting that it's been trained using porn. I imagine a ton of people are using it for porn but they wanna keep their marketing material PC.
 
Does anyone have the ISO for this DVD? Could you make it available?

I think that when the movie is only available on DVD,
it's always better to use the DVD's iso file
because it preserves the quality better.
 
those early reality kings dvds are out of print and hard to find. adultdvdmarketplace doesn't have any for sale. thanks for the post.
