Since we are on the topic, I believe there are two types of right leaning youtubers. One type has a passion and perspective outside of politics, and just happens to be right-leaning. I think she falls in that basket. She cares a LOT about cosplaying, and mostly focuses on that on her instagram and stuff.
The other kind that I hate is the people whose entire deal is "x franchise is ruined now because woke". You know almost nothing about these people other than their politics. And to have an excuse as to why they have a say in creative affairs, they always have some mercurial book that they are writing.
 
I agree! This is the kind of dialog and reasoning we're missing today. There's nuance and we really need to stop narrowing our thoughts down to name calling like calling someone a bozo and just leaving it at that.
And really, she's not that far right. She just wants good stories. If modern Star Wars were like Rogue One, I wouldn't care about the writers. But sadly, it's not.
However, Jay is HOT and that's all we care about here.
 
As someone who watches the right leaning youtubers alot I feel left leaning people like you miss the point of most of what is said in their videos but yes there are the odd anti-wokism but usually the presence of "woke" in media is treated more as a smoking gun or a byproduct of the real reason why these movies/series fail and that is that most liberal creatives are seen as being out of touch with realitity and live in a disneyland echo chamber where they only believe in one truth and it shows in their media they produce as "woke".
These type of left leaning creatives usually are nepo babies and diversity hires and whenever you see woke in media it show that they know absolutely nothing about the show at all and they aren't familiar with the source material and they think that its their duty to use the billion dollar IP as a platform to show they political views.
Woke is not the problem its the people, woke is just the thing you notice first before you see the nepotism, talentless hacks, the laziness, the complete disrespect of the source material and the constant need to destroy old beloved characters because they are 'white men' (Luke Skywalker, Indiana jones, James Bond, etc.) these people have no understanding of what the hell they are even doing
you can say they are right wing grifters it doesn't discredit what they are saying because what they are saying is the truth
 
What I said is more about who is saying it more than what is being said. I understand the argument. If a show calls the homeless people "unhoused individuals" we can tell that the creative crew lives in a certain culture, and that circle tends to fixate towards certain things while neglecting the story.
What I said is, if the youtuber saying it does not have a life outside of their politics, they are not really giving you any new information outside of what you already know. They are not approaching it as a writer who has written a few movies, an actor who is familiar with the life, or heck. even a loyal fan who spends time in the fandom. Thus. their content is just reaction videos dressed in some new clothes.
If I were to take some names, Shadiversity used to critique the weapons and fight choreography. Metatron used to critique the historical accuracy of costumes and armors. Watching them used to mean that you actually learn something new and become more knowledgeable. Watching nerdrotic only informs you on corporate drama that does not enrich you in any way other than just talking about this topic that you already understand enough to make judgments yourself
 
If that's the point you're making then Snarky Jay is the last person you should come after she grew up a complete nerd girl who read comic books and played video games when she was younger she was a tomboy (her own words) when she talks about things its because she actually has a genuine connection to it and a passion for it don't ever treat her like the others because she is a real fan of the things she talks about and is actually passionate about them
I hate when the 'redditor' types automatically just hates her or calls her a grifter when she is a real true fan of nerd culture but no everywhere you go on reddit its some random idiot saying "I hate this girl" , it honestly just show how shallow people are
 
Sopranos video she made is good. On one hand she'd be a 10/10 goomah for Tony, but her take on the series end is bad.
