I'm testing out subfolder structure for photo albums.
Example Here. I have mostly positive feedback but some suggestions.
1. I like that it automatically creates subfolders if you drag and drop multiple folders. I like that each subfolder has a sizable thumbnail preview.
2. It is nice that it can detect a folder has already been created and cancels it out. I do wish the system could detect if filenames with the exact name and file size were already created, or if it was an option when uploading to not allow files with same name that have already been uploaded to a folder. I don't know shit about dick, so maybe that would slow down uploads too much.
3. It is great you can select files to delete or move easily now. I think that capability should include selecting folders. It's also kind of weird only 30 files are available per page no matter if I select grid or list on file manager.
4. After you upload to a folder, it defaults back to no folder on the upload page without having refreshed. I ended up having to move 20 folders into the appropriate subfolder one at a time. It's not a big deal since I know it happens now and I just select the folder I want again.
5. Will filester previews ever be integrated into simp? It would be cool if you could link an album and it automatically gave thumbnail preview up to 10-20 photos/videos. Filester seems to be more efficient than goonbox, so I think something like that would be a better way to preview content and link it at the same time. Two birds stoned at once.
