Tools Best Porn Organization software/app: Stash

I have been using the nerethos/stash-jellyfin-ffmpeg fork of Stash for a while as it had better HW transcoding support. I think in the latest Stash release (0.31) H265 has been improved greatly, but the fork has been decent too. Giving it access to 12th gen QSV and transcoding has been great even with 4k.

The real answer is yes Stash has an arm64 build that you could run probably on android? I've never attempted to run docker on android but theoretically I don't see why you couldn't, and then if you can run docker then you can run Stash arm64.
Realistically, just run it on literally any computer you have. It's server software so you probably should be running it on android which i presume would be your client anyway.

just getting into this....is there a faster workflow for making markers than going in and manually clicking and adding each one? and any solid plugins? the gifs one is really good, but seems like 80% of the ones I've tried either dont work or are alot of work

For markers, Marker Studio is an option but if you’re not too savvy with Docker or terminal it’s a pain in the ass. It depends how granular you’re trying to get. You could use the Timestamp Trade plugin or The PornDB Markers plugin to auto add markers based on inputs by the community. It works for big studios pretty well.
My personal workflow is using the Quick Markers plugin. You can set parameters within Stash it self to use specific hot keys to create your markers. For example:
If I wanted to mark a cumshot. I would navigate to the point in the scene, shift+I creates and “Marker In” then I navigate to the end of the cumshot and shift+o creates a “Marker Out” and then you have your marker.
To go even further, if you have the StashTV plugin installed you can define a marker filter within the that plugin and it will play all your markers like GIFs in a vertical scrolling environment.
The opportunities are really endless with this app and the community is always working on something.

I will definitely give those a shot, I do the tpdb markers but only seems to work for like major studios scenes (like brazzers), id say like 80% of the time nothing ever comes from it. But I used to have a very similar workflow on lossless cut for the in/out that you described and that would be a big help. I thought I was pretty tech saavy before I got into this, but i dont know a god damn thing about python or most of the stuff people are talking about in the forums. It seems like 75% of the plug-ins I install just dont even work, but am not ruling out that being a skill issue either.
If you haven't tried the stashgifs I would 10/10 recommend. Basically does what you're saying for the tv companion automatically. Its great and why I want to generate more markers.

I have been using this
Pros: Great tagging, for normie stuff it works great, nice and organized
Cons: Not good for animations, animated hentai, Galleries/comics, short clips, Onlyfans/ Amateur content is hit or miss, pain in ass to setup/ find scrapers, very obtuse instructions/ guides, way too much settings and technical jargon, having to manually scrap things or titles one by one, and no bulk add
I have a love hate relationship with it, I prefer videohub 3

yeah I've been getting the hang of it the more I use it. I like it, its fun as hell, but I definitely agree with your cons. I considered myself pretty tech literate but I feel like an idiot when trying to set up half the plug-ins they offer, which half of the time dont seem to work, the other half of the time the mouth breethers over there treat you like an idiot for not understanding their hype niche plug-in. Lotta gatekeeping with the OF scraper, find the guy who runs it to be a generational loser

i dont really know a good response to his extensive questionnaire, where do i get my stuff? idk, the internet. same place as everyone else.

Agreed
Also another annoying thing is in Firefox it doesn't play hvec videos? And it has trouble with 4k videos. Another knock is doesn't play soft subs, like for a animation or subtitled movie
So not sure if I will switch it to full time or just stick to like VLC or something. The guides and the fourms are so obtuse

Anyone know of a plugin that allows you to create playlists?

I have no issues playing HVEC videos in Firefox here.
I'm probably not using it like it's supposed to be used, but I only interact with Stash for the purposes of tagging and adding performer names. I then use the Stash NFO Exporter plugin to create .nfo files for each video, and import my collection into a Kodi library, using local information only so it reads the .nfo files. I set up nodes in Kodi using X-Plorer, so the collection is correctly arranged. Kodi lives on my Homatics Box which is plugged into my projector. The result is big screen pornography, organised by Stash and sorted by Kodi. It works for me.

I have no issues with HEVC/h.265 but I am using the nerethos/stash-jellyfin-ffmpeg fork of stash. I believe they patched in better h.265/hardware enc support into the main fork a couple versions back, but the netheros fork had it for much before the official, and like I say I've had no issues. It supports hardware encoding but you may need to map the igpu (/dev/dri) device in your docker config.

Not sure why some people have issues playing HEVC. It doesn't matter where you run Stash; if you use the default "direct stream" option in the browser, compatibility depends entirely on where you run your browser. Windows, macOS, and Android all support this format natively.
I'm not sure if server-side transcoding is required to generate thumbnails, but scraped content in Stash usually includes cover images anyway.
External subtitles in SRT format also work why playing video from stash page in the browser. Just use the standard naming pattern, for example: my video file.en.srt for english (which is the same format used by most other media players).
I tested embedded subtitles, and they don't seem to work when using the stash page in the browser, whereas external players like VLC and Kodi handle them perfectly. It could be that stash prefers VTT as format.
Exporting video info to NFO files and importing them into Kodi for 10k videos is a bit overkill to maintain. Instead, I run Stash with no plugin on a mini-PC while using a browser on my main PC for scraping, and I use Kodi with the Stash plugin—which I've modified and fixed—to play all the videos and see all their scraped content taken directly from Stash.
